Disney’s Finding Nemo Jr.: A Sensory-Inclusive Performance

July 15 @ 11:00 am 1:00 pm EDT

This Sensory Inclusive Performance is intended to create a welcoming and supportive environment for children and adults on the autism spectrum as well as individuals with other sensitivity issues or developmental disabilities. To create a sensory-Inclusive setting, slight adjustments have been made to the production including reduced sound levels, no flashing or strobe lights and minimal special effects. An area adjacent to the theater has been designated as a Quiet Room with specially trained volunteers to provide audience support.

Plucky, Resilient & Heartwarming! Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. follows the adventures of Marlin, a timid clownfish, and this son, Nemo. After Nemo is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney, they both face challenges on the journey to be reunited. The show is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new songs written by award-winning composers Kristen Anderson-Lopez and EGOT-winner Robert Lopez. This musical is performed by the talented 13–18 year old Young Professionals student group.

Enjoy complimentary pre-show arts and crafts activities provided by Young at art Museum!

Lap Tickets are available for purchase for children 12 months and under and only available at the Broward Center’s AutoNation Box Office. Everyone in the theater must have a ticket.

The Broward Center’s sensory-Inclusive programming is made possible through the generous support of The Batchelor Foundation, JAFCO Children’s Ability Center, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and The Taft Foundation. Special thanks to UM-NSU CARD for their in-kind support.
